Mike O'BrienMike O’Brien started his hockey career at the young age of 6 at the Pottstown Penguins transitioning to his high school team, St Pius X, where he was the all time leading scorer. In 2003, Mike started playing for the Philadelphia Little Flyers Junior A where he was a two year captain. In his rookie year with the Little Flyers, Mike was the runner up for Rookie of the Year and also reached the league finals. The following year, Mike was granted a place in the league’s All-Star team. Mike continued his career by playing for Wentworth College where he drove the team as their captain for 3 years. Furthermore, Mike led the team in game winning goals as a rookie and is currently tied for 9th for game winning goals of all time. In 2 of his 4 years at Wentworth College, the team went to the league finals twice and finished 10th in the country in the 2009-2010 season. After Mike’s college career, he played minor professional hockey in the SPHL, AAHL, and the FHL. In addition to his playing career, Mike has also been the assistant coach for West Chester University and Abington Middle School.
