Andrew BurkeAndrew Burke started skating when he was 3 years old. By 5, he was playing with the Pennsauken Thunderbirds for his Atom and Mite years, and then for the Little Flyers his Peewee and Bantam years. During this time, he was the Captain for the Peewee Major and Bantam Minor team. He then transitioned into playing Midgets for the New Jersey Jaguars, where he was the team captain, team MVP, led the league in scoring, and was also selected to the NJYHL All-Star game. During this time, Andrew was also playing high school hockey for Archbishop Ryan, where he was named the team MVP and made both the LBSCHL All-Rookie team as well as the All-Star game. From here, Andrew went on to play Juniors with the Philadelphia Little Flyers. He was named Assistant Captain for two years and was a two-time AJHL All-Star. Andrew played his college hockey career with University of Massachusetts-Boston, where he made the ECAC All-Academic list all four years.
After his playing career, Andrew moved into the head coaching position for Bryn Athyn College in 2012 with a coaching record of 109-22-1. He also was awarded Coach of the Year for the 2014-2015 season and was selected to coach the DVCHC Selects, who participated in the ACHA European showcase in 2013 and 2015. During his tenure as coach, the Bryn Athyn Lions have made the league finals each year, winning it 3 times, received their first ever ACHA national ranking in 2013, were ranked as a top team in the Atlantic division for the last two seasons, were ranked as a top 5 team in the ACHA for the past 3 seasons, and reached ACHA Atlantic Regional Finals for the first time in program history in 2013, but returning in both 2014 and 2015. Furthermore, Andrew has coached 1 ACHA All-American, 7 All-Atlantic Region selections, 1 Atlantic Region MVP, 4 ACHA National All-tournament team selections, 15 DVCHC Selects participants, 3 DVCHC Offensive Players of the Year, 17 DVCHC All-Stars, and 2 ACHA Players of the Month.
